Wetpaint Entertainment: What was the Glee experience like for you?
Lindsay Pearce: Oh, it was a dream… I got to act with Lea Michele and Chris Colfer and sing this beautiful number. And the dancers were so great and Zach [Woodlee, Glee choreographer] would be so patient and wonderful with all of us. It was just such an amazing, amazing experience.
That was a huge number. How long were you there for?
I was only on set for a day, but it was a 16 hour day, if I remember correctly. Something crazy. And it was a long rehearsal, because I had to learn how to tap dance… It was so much fun, and everyone on the set was just so nice. I was just like a kid in a candy store, loving it, soaking up every moment. It’s not every day that I get to sit next to two TV legends and, as a character, have to kick them. How do you take on Lea Michele and Chris Colfer? They’re so good. I was so nervous. But they were really nice and really amazing.
Had they watched the show? Did they have any reaction to you being there?
Chris Colfer thought that I actually won because I went in, I recorded, I did my entire episode before the finale of Glee Project, so he was like, “Oh my God, you won right?” And I was like, “No.” He was like, “Well, you’re still here.” I kind of let the cat out of the bag. He was really, really sweet.
